Kingston Farmers Market
New Vendor Information
This is a summary only. The entire policies are
available from the Market Manager or here.
All members of the Kingston Farmers Market will behave towards
market customers, staff, volunteers, and each other in a professional
manner that fosters a sense of market community
and camaraderie, a spirit of cooperative involvement,
and that promotes the market as a whole to the North Kitsap community.

every Saturday, located on the Green at the Port of Kingston Mike
Wallace Marina Park.

TO APPLY TO KFM: To apply for the Kingston Farmers Market
Summer Market season, click on the link to the Vendor
Application . From there you may either apply by filling out
a form online or print an application and mail it in. Don't forget
that you can get a $5 discount on the Annual Dues by paying before
the opening Market of the season. When the Market Manager receives
your application, he will send you a Welcome email or call you
if you don't have email. He will inform you of any concerns that
may arise about the suitability of your products and answer any
questions you may have. Feel free to email
the Market Manager or call any time if you have any questions.
ONCE YOU BELONG: Once you have paid your Annual Dues, you
are a member of the Market and may vote for the Market Board of
Directors at the next Annual Membership Meeting (the first Monday
in November). You may come to sell your products at any of the
regular summer Markets (not including the Special Markets such
as Special Spring Market, 4th of July, etc.). You do not have
to come to all the Markets or inform us if you aren't coming on
any particular Saturday.
As a vendor you will occasionally receive emails and mailings
about the Market.
BOOTHS: Each vendor has a 10' x 10' space on the lawn;
space assignment is on a "first-come-first-served" basis.
There is a layout that we follow in setting up our booths so,
when you arrive, ask one of the other vendors or the Market Manager
where you should set up.

Our Market is a very friendly Market, so never be afraid to ask
questions of the other vendors.
Vendors must provide their own umbrellas, gazebos, tables etc.
Umbrellas, canopies, or gazebos must be secured to the ground
or weighted at all times to prevent blow-overs. Everyone please
read the Washington
State Farmers Market webpage "Canopies 101" before
coming to the Market.
There is no water or electricity available to vendors. Vendors
are not to start setting up their booths until 7:00 AM and are
required to be on site by 8:30 AM in order to participate in that
day's market. It is in everyone's interest for the customers to
learn that the market opens at 9:00 AM; therefore vendors are
urged to refrain from sales before 9:00 AM. Vendors are requested
to stay for the entire market day, unless all goods are sold or
the weather turns especially bad. In any case, vendors are responsible
for taking down their set-up, disposing of their own garbage,
and leaving their spot as trash-free as when they arrived.
PARKING: Vendors may park next to the market area for
unloading and loading only. Vehicles must be parked elsewhere
during the market hours; vendor parking is available in the commuter
lot, up the hill on Central Avenue, for only $4. There is also
a slightly less expensive commuter lot on Ohio and 2nd Ave. If
you need help finding a place to park, the Market Manager can
help you.
It is very important that we leave the 2-hour parking near the
Marina Park (especially the handicapped spots) for our customers!
There are only a few stalls, clearly marked as 2-hour parking,
which will be the spots for our customers. Vendors should not
park there except to load & unload. Also, do not park in slots
designated for tenants, KCYC, staff or others.
OTHER DETAILS: Weekly Booth Fees must be paid to the Market
Manager each week that you vend at the Market. The Market Manager
will come around to all the booths between 10:00 and 1:00 to collect.
No smoking is allowed by vendors on the Market property. Vendors
may not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during Market
hours and may not have alcohol or recreational drugs on the premises.
Vendors may not bring dogs or other pets to the market (except
for sale).
PRODUCTS: As a juried market, the Board reserves the right
to screen the products sold at the market. Products must be of
good quality, and handcrafted or homegrown by the vendor, who
is a resident of the Olympic or Kitsap Peninsulas. All food and
farm products must meet the applicable regulations of the Kitsap
County Health Department. Produce must be grown locally, except
locally-out-of-season produce, imported from other Washington
counties and sold by member vendors. This must be approved by
the Board of Directors beforehand.
THE MARKET BOARD: The Board is made up of 8 current and
past vendors and other market supporters. The Board meets monthly
and meetings are open to vendors.
